An ELCB (Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker) tester is a device used to test the effectiveness of an
ELCB or RCCB (Residual Current Circuit Breaker) in detecting and interrupting current leakage
to earth. The ELCB tester works by simulating a fault condition where a current leakage to earth occurs. This can be done by using an internal test circuit to introduce a known amount of current leakage into the circuit being tested. The ELCB should detect this fault condition and trip the circuit breaker, interrupting the power supply.
